COLLECTIVE AND WARRANTY MARKS
Requirements
for filing an application:
Name, particulars and domicile of the
applicant.
Power
of Attorney executed by an officer
of the applicant, attested by a Notary Public
and then duly legalized by a Consul of Panama
or by the seal of the Apostille, if appropriate.
If the Applicant is a legal person or
entity, a document issued by the proper governmental
authorities (Register of Companies) in the country
or state of origin of the applicant, certifying
the legal existence (Certificate of Good Standing)
of the applicant. This document must be duly legalized
by a Consul of Panama or by the seal of the Apostille,
if appropriate,
Ten (10) labels if it has a particular
design or colors are to be claimed.
Goods and services and International
Class to which those goods or services belong.
Regulation of use of the mark, including
the list of the authorized persons to use the
mark and the causes to prohibit the use of the
mark to the authorized persons. This document
must be duly legalized by a Consul of Panama or
by the seal of the Apostille, if appropriate.
Priority claimed based on the provisions
of the Paris Convention, if it is the case. (Same
procedure as new Trademarks and Service marks)
It
is possible to file the application without the
Power of Attorney and the Certificate of Good
Standing from the applicant, by posting a U.S.$100.00
bond, to guarantee that said documents will be
duly filed within a term of two (2) months, counted
as of the date of filing of the application. Additionally,
it is possible to obtain an extension of one month
for this purpose. |
